The cab is 44 inches across inside. That gives a standard wheelchair room to roll in, with space for a helper. Not every chair fits, so we test yours first.
The 32-inch entrance is the widest of PVE’s air-driven models. It makes rolling in and out easier for you and the person helping you.
The PVE52 can serve up to five stops and 50 feet of travel. It works in tall stilted homes and multi-level houses alike.

A standard-size wheelchair fits, with room for a helper. The entrance is 32 inches wide, and the cab is 44 inches across. Some larger chairs may not fit, so we measure yours during the free visit.
No. The PVE52 is a home elevator, not a commercial one. PVE certifies it to the ASME A17.7 elevator safety code, and PVE does not allow it in commercial buildings. ADA rules cover public buildings, not private homes, so this does not affect home use.
The price depends on your stops, travel height, floor openings, and electrical work. We visit your home for free and give you a written quote. Financing is available for qualified homeowners.
Up to three people can ride, or one wheelchair user plus a helper. The total weight must stay under 525 lb.
Each upper floor needs a round, finished opening about 54 11/16 inches wide. We check your floor framing during the home visit and plan the opening for you.
You will hear the pump on the way up. The PVE52 also moves at 35 feet per minute, which is a bit slower than some cable elevators. It needs a main seal change about every five years. We explain all of this up front.
Yes. The PVE52 serves 2 to 5 stops, with up to 50 feet of total travel.
The PVE52 needs 220–240 volt, single-phase power on its own circuit. PVE’s latest spec sheet calls for a 40-amp supply. We check your panel and plan any upgrade during the visit.
