The 24-volt DC drive runs entirely on battery power. In any power outage, the Luma Lift continues operating for up to five complete trips. A full power interruption does not prevent safe travel between floors at any point during the outage period.
Automatic overspeed detection monitors travel speed throughout every trip. If speed exceeds normal parameters, emergency brakes engage immediately and independently of electrical power, stopping the cabin safely.
Full-panel interlocked doors at both landings prevent any travel unless every door is fully closed and secured. Both the cabin door and the landing door must be latched before the drive system responds to any control input.
Obstruction detection prevents door closure or travel when the path is blocked. A dedicated stop button inside the cabin gives the passenger direct control to halt travel at any point during any trip.
